The aptly named Bonito Lounge sits on the corner of the High Street and London Road, just back from the beach in beautiful Bognor Regis. We make the most of our corner position, with big floor to ceiling windows that open right up on both sides giving both our space inside (across two floors) a really light and airy feel. As well as our spectacular wallpaper, paintings and a galaxy of star lights, we’ve kept the original midnight blue tiled pillars from when this was a much-loved department store. And why are we aptly named? Because Bonito in Spanish means “nice, pretty”. And we’re pretty nice.
Separate interesting fact: The mural behind the bar celebrates the majestic Bognor Birdman competition, where people essentially attempt to fly off the end of a pier. The current record is an impressive 206.4 metres.
