At Lounge, we’re all about championing the local community surrounding us, by working with local charities, organisations and groups to put on events, hold meetings and much more at our sites.
And now we’re going a step further by working with local Welsh suppliers to trial a range of drinks in a number of our Welsh sites.
From already popular brands such as Tiny Rebel Brewery and gin founded by Wales’ own Katherine Jenkin, to innovative low-alcohol beers and 100% vegan rum, we’ve got plenty to enjoy, Iechyd Da!
We’re launching nine new products in our sites, so read on to find a bit more about all of them.
Barti Rum Ltd
Barti Rum Ltd is a Pembrokeshire-based business that combines hand-picked laver seaweed with spices and Caribbean rum.
We’ve taken two brilliant products of theirs that you can now try in our Welsh Lounges. The first is a Barti Spiced Rum, with hints of vibrant vanilla, clove, cinnamon and orange, married together with wild-picked laver seaweed!
The second is a Barti Cream Liqueur. Ideal served over ice, it’s a deliciously rich, creamy drink, but with the added benefit of being 100% vegan!
Cygnet Gin
Marketed as the voice of luxury gin, Cygnet Gin was founded by Neath’s own Katherine Jenkins in 2023. She became a gin drinker because it was deemed a ‘cleaner’ drink for singers, so she launched Cygnet to be a sustainable gin with an understated luxury.
We’re proud to be stocking Cygnet Welsh Dry, distilled using a blend of 12 of the finest botanicals and packaged in a sustainable and reusable bottle.
With notes of juniper, lime, pink grapefruit and much more, this is the perfect choice for a gin and tonic, cocktails or just neat.
Drop Bear Beer Co.
Never heard of a Drop Bear? It’s a legend in contemporary Australian folklore of a predatory version of a koala that drops down to attack unsuspecting tourists. And now, it’s a brewer based in Swansea!
Drop Bear Beer Co. is a specialist brewer of 0.5% craft beers, with their entire range being vegan-friendly and gluten-free. They also hold the honour of being the world’s first carbon-neutral alcohol-free brewer.
They’ve got a great range of low alcohol beers, and we’re delighted to stock their Yuzu Pale Ale, with a toffee base, grapefruit hops and a delicious splash of yuzu.
Evan Evans
Evan Evans is an international award-winning brewery based in Llandeilo. Specialising in delicious traditional cask ale, keg ales, lager and cider, as well as making leaps in the world of zero alcohol choices.
Their cider brand, known as Redhog Wild Cider, is made from the finest apples sourced from traditional wild orchards in Somerset, Herefordshire and the Welsh Borders to make refreshing gluten-free and vegan-friendly ciders.
We’re stocking Redhog Zero Summer Fruit Cider, a refreshing cider with a slightly sweet apple base with the addition of perfectly ripe blackberries, blackcurrants and strawberries.
Tiny Rebel
Tiny Rebel Brewery have made a big impact in the beer scene over the last few years, producing amazing craft beer and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with big, bold and vibrant flavours.
If you’ve heard of Tiny Rebel, it’s probably not a surprise what beer we’re stocking. The Clwb Tropica IPA is one of the UK’s best-loved Tropical IPAs, with flavours of peach, passion fruit, pineapple and mango shining through.

SA Brain & Co
The Dragon Brewery in Cardiff uses cutting-edge technology to make the best beers from SA Brain & Co. It’s a combination of traditional techniques with modern innovation that has enabled them to brew incredible beers since 1882.
We’re stocking the Barry Island IPA, an American-style IPA that’s bursting with hops, citrus aromas, a smooth malty taste and a vigorous bitter finish.
Hensol Castle Distillery
Hensol Castle Distillery is South Wales’ first full-scale distillery, based in a Grade 1 listed castle in the Vale of Glamorgan. The large, empty cellars of the castle now house their distillery and contract bottling plant, as well as a gin school!
They take pride in distilling award-winning gins, liquers and spirits, aiming to bring a taste of Wales to the UK.
We’re proud to stock Hensol Castle Vodka, a premium vodka made with triple-distilled, British potato vodka with a hint of Welsh, unaged single malt. Best enjoyed over ice, or in a long drink!
Penderyn Distillery
With sites in Penderyn, Swansea and Llandudno, Penderyn Distillery produces award-winning single malt whiskies enjoyed around the world and celebrated with numerous awards.
They produce Single Malt Welsh Whisky (PGI), which has protected name status – similar to products such as Champagne, and Jersey Royal Potatoes. This status ensures Penderyn products are of high quality and produced, matured and bottled in Wales.
Pop into a Welsh Lounge to enjoy Penderyn Madeira Finish Single Malt Welsh Whisky PGI, their original ‘house style’ whisky aged in ex-bourbon barrels and finished in ex-Madeira wine casks to bring out its full gold flavour. This whisky is rated in the top 5 whiskies in the world by Jim Murray in his Whisky Bible.
