Our Lounge

All roads lead to Romano Lounge. Well, Culver and Long Wyre Streets in the centre of Colchester do, just a minute walk from the castle. You can’t miss our handsome corner site with big floor to ceiling windows across both sides that open out in summer. Inside, we’ve a constellation of star lights and chandeliers, with spectacularly floral wallpaper, tassel-y lampshades, paintings galore and – what else? – a Chariot Racing mural behind the bar to celebrate the city’s Roman heritage. Little Loungers Passport

We’ve teamed up with Cawston Press this summer to introduce the Little Loungers Summer Passport. All the fun of our regular passport, but with kid-friendly rewards and prizes!

This includes free milkshakes and desserts, as well as the chance to enter prize draws to win Merlin attraction tickets and back-to-school bundles courtesy of Frugi.

Great British Summer Savings

As part of the UK government’s Great British Summer Savings scheme, VAT charged on our Little Loungers’ menu has dropped from the usual 20% down to 5% from 25th June until 1st September 2026. Please see our web menus for our new lower prices for this summer.
