Our Lounge

Taking over an old banking hall, Zafferano Lounge now serves up our signature delicious food and drinks all day every day to the people of Saffron Walden. We want to make sure every customer feels catered for and leaves happy, so you can expect dedicated menus for if you’re gluten-free, vegan or if you’re a Little Lounger.

There are events and board games for guests of all ages, toys for the really little ones and even refreshments available for our canine guests! Whether you want a cosy coffee catchup or a few cocktails in the evening, there’s something for everyone at Zafferano Lounge.

Oh, and Zafferano means saffron in Italian, a little nod to the town’s golden past as a major saffron-growing hub back in the day!

Cheeky Mondays

Order any burger, main or salad and get a 175ml glass of house wine, pint of Cruzcampo, soft drink or a pudding on the house. Available from 5pm.

Tapas Tuesday

Enjoy three tapas and a glass of wine, a pint of Cruzcampo or a soft drink for just £14.50 from 5pm every Tuesday.

Lounge Cocktail Club

Twice as nice! Get two of the same cocktail for £13.50. Available every day, 5pm 'til close.

Lunch Deal

A mug of soup and half a Grilled Cheese Toastie for just £7.50. Available Monday – Friday, 12pm to 5pm.

At Lounge, we like to keep things laid-back. Most of the time, you can just walk in, settle down, and we'll take care of the rest. No fuss.
