Spirits of the South West

Championing the best of the south West

We love the South West here at Lounge, starting over two decades ago in Bristol, and as of 2026, we have over 30 locations spread across Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Bristol.

The region is home to pasties, scones and great, independent food and drink companies, so we’ve decided to champion a few local heroes with our A Taste of the South West drinks menu, now live in Armado, Concho, Divino, Granito, Palacio, Seco, Tretho and Truro Lounge.

From quaffable beers to a great selection of homegrown gins, there’s plenty to enjoy, so come in and raise a glass to the South West.

Verdant Brewing Co.

Launching in 2014, Verdant Brewing Co. started with a passion to create US-inspired beers that weren’t available locally. Originally based in Falmouth, they moved to a brand new brewery in Penryn in 2020 to continue creating tasty pale ales, IPAs and DIPAs on a larger scale.

We’ll be serving up Verdant Lightbulb on tap, a hazy extra pale ale with a hint of sweetness and drenched in fruity, dark hops.

Proper Gins From Down South

Tarquin’s is a brand that needs no introduction, and we’re so pleased to stock their Cornish Gin, distilled in Wadebridge on the rugged North Cornwall coast. It’s a crisp gin with notes of juniper, green pine, citrus and a kick of eastern spices.

We’ll also be serving up Plymouth English Gin, distilled with Dartmoor water in a traditional copper still for a fresh, aromatic profile that champions earthy and citrus notes.

Whisky and Rum

Rounding out our drinks from the South West are a delicious whisky and rum. Cornish Rock English Whisky is triple distilled in Wadebridge, infused with Cornish spring water and then maturing in red wine barrels for three years before being bottled.

Finally, we have Pusser’s ‘Gunpowder Proof’ Rum. With strong ties to Plymouth, Pusser’s rum is blended to an original Royal Navy Admiralty recipe, and bottled at traditional Gunpowder Proof strength – 54.5% ABV!
