Our Lounge

Welcome to Pionero Lounge – where Rochdale’s pioneering spirit lives on. Nestled in the heart of town, Pionero Lounge is a relaxed, all-day café bar serving up feel-good food and drink from brunch to late-night cocktails. Whether you’re catching up with friends, treating the family, or flying solo with a flat white and a good book, our doors are always open.

Our name, Pionero, pays tribute to Rochdale’s proud legacy as the birthplace of the modern co-operative movement. Inspired by the Rochdale Society of Equitable Pioneers, whose first store at 31 Toad Lane sparked a global movement, we celebrate their vision of community, fairness, and forward thinking. That same spirit lives on at the nearby Pioneers Museum, and right here in the way we welcome everyone with open arms and plenty of charm.

At Lounge, we like to keep things laid-back. Most of the time, you can just walk in, settle down, and we'll take care of the rest. No fuss.

Halloumi Burger

Enjoy crispy-crumbed halloumi, sweet potato fritter, chipotle mayo, roasted peppers, pickled red onion, chilli jam and lettuce packed into a brioche bun!

Our burgers are served in with house slaw and fries or salad. You can also upgrade to sweet potato fries and add onion rings!
