Lounge’s food and drink menus reflect our personality. We take food really seriously, using the best fresh produce in really creative dishes, but we also make sure our menus are about pleasure, indulgence, and fun! A bit like us.
Food
Everyone is welcome in a Lounge, so we look after every taste from fresh, zingy salads to massive burgers with all the trimmings. We spend a lot of time working on exciting new dishes but we’ll always be somewhere you can go for classic British food like a cracking bacon butty too.
We’re proud that our gluten-free and vegan menus are not second best; we take pride in making sure they are packed with plenty of interesting, satisfying dishes just like our other menus.
Last, but not least, we know that if mum and dad are going to enjoy themselves, then the kids need to be happy. Our proper kids’ menu features healthy, indulgent and fun dishes too.
Vegan and Gluten-Free
At Loungers, we’ve never quite understood why eating out as a vegan or gluten-free guest can often be an awkward experience, with just one or two token menu options, if any at all.
That just doesn’t seem right. So we’ve been providing proper, full, separate vegan and gluten-free menus since 2003, packed with variety, flavour and comfort food classics.
The word is getting out – our overall menu won ‘Best Vegan Menu’ and our Chocolate Torte won ‘Best Dessert’ at the recent PETA vegan food awards.
Our menus change twice a year and both have brunch, tapas, burger and main options.
Eggs
Through our expert food and drink partners we always buy the very best produce. Through our suppliers, we support the FSA Red Tractor Farm Assured scheme, and wherever possible, ensure that every egg we cook for you is free-range and British Lion approved.
Drink
We must say, we do rather like a drink at Lounge. From delicate herbal teas to juices, smoothies and milkshakes to fine wines and frankly ridiculous cocktails, if it’s liquid, we stock it.
We pride ourselves on coffee in particular, using a high quality house blend of Central American and Kenyan Arabica beans, which is medium bodied, clean and fruity. A bit like us.
Soft drinks include freshly squeezed juices, smoothies, milkshakes, ginger beers, iced teas and our own lemonades.
Our wine list is small but beautifully formed, with whites, reds, rosés and prosecco all by the glass and bottle. We stock a good range of draught and bottled beer and cider and our cocktails include all the established classics and some particularly fiendish concoctions unique to Loungers.
