We are passionate about how each and every one of our Lounge’s teams become engaged and embedded within their local communities.
Our teams are encouraged to connect with their communities by working with local groups, charities, organisations and businesses that are at the heart of the fabric of local life. We want to get to know and work with our neighbours and inspire people to do good by supporting each other and supporting local good causes.
We’re proud to employ local residents who genuinely care about the community and our aim is that every guest leaves feeling happy, is made to feel important and genuinely feels part of something special.
Charity fundraisers range from Giving Trees at Christmas to bake sales, personal challenges and charity quizzes – our teams get stuck in. Each year we raise over £77,000 across all our sites thanks to their dedication and community spirit – and we hope to see this numbers grow as we open more Lounges.
In addition, whenever we open a new site, we donate 50p from every burger and 20p from every coffee sold to a local charity: this equates to an average of some £1,000 donated to local charities for each new opening.
There’s also LoungeAid, an annual fundraising initiative that takes place over two months, where our teams aim to reach the highest fundraising target they can and get local people involved, too. We’ve seen all sorts, from cycling marathons to skydives, and open mic nights to leg waxes.
